Maine Frontier Day

Wolfs Neck Farm, 184 Burnett Road, Freeport, ME

I'll be involved in a historical presentation and will be leading a fiddle jam session before and after somewhere on the grounds. This program commemorates the 250th anniversary of the Means massacre at Flying Point. The day is designed to highlight and celebrate the heritage of the Scots-Irish immigrants to Maine (the Eastern Frontier) from 1718 to 1786 using the Means family as a representative family from that time period. In addition to the historical presentation, there will be crafts and trades exhibits, re-enactment encampments, period history tents, food vendors, fiddlers and horse and trailer rides going on around the perimeter of a central field.
